We’ve been to Joey’s a few times and this was the worst service and ambiance. Food was good but service felt rushed. Our table was dirty and I had to request that it be wiped down. There was food on the floor and on the seat that I had to brush away. It wasn’t a good eating experience. We were celebrating my son’s graduation and it left us feeling like we should have booked a different restaurant.

We’ve been longtime guests at Joey’s Sherway and usually have great experiences, so it’s disappointing to say this was one of our least enjoyable visits. To start with the positives: our server was brand new but absolutely lovely—pleasant, smiley, and sweet. She took our order promptly and provided excellent service throughout the evening. We came to Joey’s for a business dinner with an important guest visiting from Edmonton, expecting a polished experience. Unfortunately, what unfolded fell well short of the standard we associated with Joey’s. Our guest ordered a frozen Bellini, but while the rest of us received our drinks, hers was delayed due to an ice machine issue. We waited over 10 minutes, hoping to start the evening with a toast, only to be told the machine still wasn’t working and she’d need to choose something else. We asked for hot sauce with our meal, but it had to be entered into the system, which caused an unexpected delay. It took quite a while to arrive, and when we politely followed up after 10 minutes, we were met with some attitude. A small request turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience.

I used to enjoy dining at Joey’s, but unfortunately, our recent visit was quite disappointing. One of the biggest letdowns was the removal of the veggie burger, which was one of the only decent plant-based options on the menu. As someone who follows a plant-based lifestyle, it’s frustrating to see already limited vegan choices disappear without any alternatives offered. Joey's has recently changed their menu and unfortunately that changed the experience for us. The service was amazing as usual, but the food we ordered (hamburger) was no bueno. It was cooked well and the server and manager did everything they could to find a solution, but the style of the patty has changed which impacted the experience of eating a regular burger.

I have been to this location many times but today was such an awful experience. we were celebrating a bday and Father’s Day. Water took over 15 mins to come to the table. App arrived when main meals arrived. Drinks did not all come together. Half our table received drinks while the others had to wait 5-10 mins for their beer to arrive. Server was friendly, and food was good but service and over all care for dining experience was lacking.

Overall great experience with server and food in general. I ordered a lobster tail to go with my steak for $26, which is pricey but it was extremely dry and way too salty. Did not taste very fresh.
