Stay away from this joint! Frankly there are more competent RV people working at Safeway then there are working at Johnson RV. I purchased a small travel trailer at Johnson RV (big mistake). They claim to do a comprehensive inspection of their units before they are resold. After I got it home I began to be concerned about whether the wheel bearings have been packed or whether they are the type that are factory installed and never need re-packing. I called about this on Saturday and they said that someone would call with an... read more
ALL RV BUYERS, ESPECIALLY RETIREES BEWARE No matter how friendly the people in this dealership are - make no mistake, they are NOT YOUR FRIENDS. Their only interest seems to be in making an obscenely excessive amount of money by taking advantage of you. DO NOT discuss your credit, finances or financing options with ANY of these people. Not even the oh-so nice and friendly sales person, or the cute young office person. Do not trust their relationship with the institutions they offer financing through. Get a 2nd or even 3rd op... read more
I had an interesting experience at Johnson RV in Sandy, Oregon today. I've not experienced this kind of crap in 30 years or so. Perhaps this is just simply an artifact of the discrimination based leadership in this country now. However, that too will pass. Walked in Johnson RV and asked if I could look at a specific model that was advertised on their website. Waited for he salesman to show up, and when he arrived, he started out asking legitimate questions about what I was looking for, which was great (even though I alr... read more
I requested a quote and received a confirmation email, but never received my quote. Do they even have anyone staffing that department? When we went to the lot it was a ghost town, no one seemed to exist at all during the entire 45 minutes we spent both on the lot and in the building. I guess they don't want to sell? Maybe it's just an RV museum? I sure would have liked to have made a purchase.
This is a horrible place. We watched a video on a 2013 fifth wheel. We had a appointment to see it and was told it was still available only to find out this fifth wheel did not exist. The 2013 was a different color and was being lived in and unavailable. The one that was shone was a 2012 and not at all what was in the video. When we told the sales manager, he did not seem to care at all. This video is still on the internet, they have not even taken it off yet. Everyone please steer clear of this business!
The product quality here is not even a question. The units are clean and ready to go and typically they disclose the known issues..... BUT That said, the sales staff and sales managers must think that the average buyer is a complete dunce. With pricing typically 20-30k over NADA average you would THINK naturally that's your place to negotiate. NOT at Johnson RV, they literally think their S#!+ don't stink. Any dealer can polish turds! Do your research before you sign or you'll be writing them a check for 20k too much. ... read more
We purchased a brand new motor home from Johnson RV and several months later and two trips in for items to be fixed we have a motor home that still needs items to be repaired . This last time they left drawer pulls off the drawers and they did not fix important items that they said they fixed--- the leveling system! I am so disappointed in their customer service and their integrity. They had no problem taking our money and trying to upswell us on every item possible, yet they have extreme difficulty in following through t... read more
I received a post card indicating that they have a "nationally recognized buying program" and that they would handle everything including "pick-up". After sending in an inquiry I found that they want you to drive the RV to them even it is 1500 miles away. not very ethical!
One star My wife and I purchased a used RV from Johnson RV (Sandy, OR) in mid March of 2017. It was the day after the big RV Expo in Portland where they sold a lot of units so we were asked to wait two weeks before picking it up. Also, they said that they wanted to make sure that everything was perfect with our purchase. After an additional delay of two days we picked up the unit and drove it home. We planned to drive the RV to Texas and back the following week. While preparing for our trip we discovered a water leak... read more
