Distressed by the way Kimlin Energy has treated me as a customer of over 20 years. I had a locked in rate. Kimlin unilaterally canceled my contract and raised the almost doubled the cost per gallon without telling me. I only found out because I had an unexpected bill for over $850. I've been happy to use a local, locally-owed company for all my home energy needs but it is clear that the company is using deceptive practices, exploiting the goodwill of its customers, not behaving as a good neighbor. Hi Jason, contracts expire each year in May. We sent emails and call every customer to set them back up on a contract but we unfortunately never heard from you this year. Melissa's also been trying to get in touch with you for a weeks to try and offer you a lower locked rate but hasn't been able to contact you. In late 2020 I contacted Kimlin via text in regards to replacing my oil tank, I received a reply in less than 10 minutes! Now that I've been with them for over a year, I guess replying to customers texts is not as important now. I'm on automatic delivery, I received a delivery on December 22nd 2021 and 14 days later 1/6/22 they show up again with another delivery which I quickly refused!!Seriously, you think I use that much fuel in 14 days when I keep my thermostat set between 66 and 68 all winter long ??? couldn't fault the person that was servicing me
Beware of the Kimlin drivers on the road in the Gardiner area. Got run off the road this morning by a driver that ran a stop sign and then proceeded to give me the finger for his poor driving abilities. I called to report the incident but as I assumed I received no call back. Therefore, I will be canceling my kimlin deliveries. I don’t want to see someone killed by somebody making a delivery to my house

Started my service when I first bought the house in Oct 2020. Service tech who was supposed to fill tank for the first time and light pilots was scheduled 8am-11am and showed up at 4:45. No communication from the company even though I was calling to find out where the technician’s ETA. Fast forward to today, ran out of propane in the middle of January even though I’m set up on Automatic Delivery. No heat! This has been a terrible experience. We will see how long it takes for them to show up today.
Kimlin took 5-months to diagnose an issue with my hot water which took Kosco a 5-minute call to do the same. They charged me for service calls during which the man said he does not work on propane and sent another serviceman, I got charged for both. Then I got charged for each misdiagnosis, I spent over $400 on labor/ parts, hours of phone calls and service calls, to still not fix the problem until Kosco confirmed the last diagnosis in 5 minutes. 5 months of losing hot water and They're solution was to remove the service fee... read more
I have been with Kimlin for 10-15 years. I have a 3 unit propane apt. bld. They were overall fair, better at first than a different company who tried a "scare tactic." After I bought the house and was setting up an account they used the "bubble technique" and stated that I had a leak and needed to sell me new equipment. Many years later, same equipment, no problems. Regarding Kimlin their techs are fair in training. They tend to be a bit confused and cannot it straight. We moved to a new location a month ago, have had 3 conversations thus far including a service call... yet they say we have no account. Emails are not professional either. No signature or name on who sent the email. Sad actually.
