There is no place else I would take our beloved cats. I am sitting with my sweet 15-year-old cat right now, who is dying. My heart is completely breaking, but we have gotten over two unexpected years due to the compassionate, deep, skilled care from Drs. Erdman and Earp. They love your animals as if they are their own, explain all options thoroughly, and work so many extra hours. I wrote a previous 5 star review but I'm writing another one to show my appreciation for all the staff who have done such a great job under very challenging circumstances. I feel very comfortable taking my cat here and he's received very good care.
This place is AMAZING!!! Every vet I have had with my dog has been wonderful! My dog is a rescue and has stranger danger. They are so patient with Dixon and we wait in the car until our appointments. My dog was sick for three weeks with a stomach infection and they were so wonderful with trying to figure out the root and not cost me too much money. Dr. Franklin is my main vet and Dixon loves him but we have seen them all, and I never worry! Dixon gets excited to go to the vet- that says it all right there :)
Caring, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable: Drs. Earp, Erdman and Franklin are defined by these words.
Just want to say that, like most other reviewers here, I had a very positive experience with Dr Earp. He provided more time, education(!), kindness, and follow up in caring for my JRT than any other veterinarian I've known... and I've known a few. So what if we sometimes had to wait a bit? When our turn came, we got the doctor's undivided attention until each of my concerns was carefully listened to and questions were patiently and thoroughly addressed. 5 stars and a salute!
I would highly recommend Laurelwood Animal Hospital. I trust Dr Franklin completely. I first went to see Dr Franklin a couple years ago with our cat Hyde who got very sick and lost so much weight that he didn't even look like the real Hyde anymore! We took Hyde to see several other vets before we found Dr Franklin who was recommended by one of my friends. Dr Franklin saved Hyde's life. I like to have a vet that we trust, is well located (so it's not a huge drive to get there), and that takes good care of us. We haven't had that in a while - the last vet we took our dog to we had huge issues with - so I looked up the reviews for Laurelwood and was pleasantly surprised to see all 5 Star reviews. Absolutely the best clinic I have EVER been to, the 3 best veterinarians! If you have an emergency they work you in which could mean regular appts. may sometimes have to wait a bit, but getting the correct diagnoses for your pet is worth the wait! Just try them, I'm sure you will agree!
This veterinary clinic is best around! My vet was Dr. Lynn Erdman. She is an amazing women that was just the sweetest to my cat. She was very considerate and kind to my little black and white tuxedo cat. I found this vet about two years ago after having a bad experience with a vet at the Aloha Animal Medical center. The Laurelwood vet is so understanding when it comes to income as well. Some vets will allow you to do payment plans which was such a blessing.
