Have been going to Dr. Franklin for years. Have so much respect for his knowledge & ability to diagnose things correctly. If he has to refer something out to another specialty vet, I have so much confidence in his knowledge of all the area specialists & their abilities. Last time I saw Dr. Earp as Franklin was booked & found Earp to be VERY caring & knowledgeable.
I go way back with these Veterinarians, back to the day when they used to be located in Raleigh Hills. They were great then and still are. Dr. Erdman just examined our new Frenchie Bulldog puppy and gave extremely helpful advice about the breed and puppy raising. The facility is large, modern and clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful. It's hard to find a good, trusted vet, but you can't go wrong here.
Laurelwood is one of the best vets I have ever visited. I have had animals my entire life and the only other vet that compares to Laurelwood was my old small town vet that the whole town knew and loved and who even did late night house calls. We adopted a German Shepherd/Aussie Shepherd mix puppy from a shelter on Monday evening. On Tuesday, we took him to Tigard Veterinary Hospital for his free visit (as stated via the shelter). This was a 5-6 minute visit in which the vet barely looked over our pup. I wish there were most stars to give, Dr. Erdman is just wonderful! Our first visit was today and my pooch was very scared and couldn't have been more of a terror in the waiting room! The ladies in front couldn't have been nicer, (My very noisy and LOUD vivacious Pit - Lab mix freaks at new things!!! ) The tech was so nice and Dr. Erdman was a natural with my girl, and so kind and informative to me! Dr Earp at Laurelwood has cared for my 8 year old Bernese Mtn Dog for the past 7 years. He provides a detailed explanation in layman's terms so I can understand the possible diagnosis, options, and expense. He is never rushed, even with my detailed questions. Dr. Earp is fantastic! My 7 year old pup got sick for the first time a few weeks before Thanksgiving and I had to find a good place to take her. I did my research, read reviews, and loved all the positive feedback about this place. I've never needed to take my pup in over the years, except to update shots and once for a minor ear problem, so I had a lot of questions. I took my lab for check up and vaccines for the first time a few weeks ago, i had my two small kids and my very hyper lab (not as fun as it sounds) and the guys at laurelwood were fast to get me out of the waiting room, nice and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I love it and will definitely be back
