I've been with LBS Financial for over 17 years and have always stood by it because I've never had the problems that I've recently had with one manager at the LBS Financial East Long Beach Branch. I am recently retired from LA County service, a little over a year, and receive my benefit via paper check. This old Asian women who works behind the front desk treated me like I was stupid and talked down to me and competly had no respect. Worst banking experience ever. Terrible service.
Went to go put money in the ATM and my money and card was stolen. When I tried to do a dispute they told my bank it never happened. Times are waaay too rough to be getting robbed like this.
I went in today to deposit a check I received as a birthday gift from a family member. I had misplaced it and did not know there was a time limit on checks. As it is being immunocompromised I don't leave the house often to stay safe, especially in red tier covid times. The branch manager was rude and condescending to me telling me that the check was expired and that I would get a fee. I have had a GREAT experience at this branch, the new one on PCH, hit and miss. The woman supervisor today was rude and not helpful. Dark hair, wouldn't help me and treated me badly.
First I'd like to say I've been with the credit union for quite awhile and nothing but pleasurable experiences until today. I went into the branch to get quarters and withdraw funds. I was being helped by a nice teller when I was approached at the window to give a compliment to my hair which was appreciated. I suggest you don't obtain the HELOC with this company, it will take you almost forever but never done! My friend he applied the HELOC with LBSFCU and waiting more than a month but nothing happened, he told me people in this bank very lazy, sometimes they look at the file and asked him for some more documents, they keep repeating that way back and forth but never finalize his loan. And now he can't go to another bank because they already checked his credit and now his credit score already went down!!!
If I could give this zero stars I would. Horrible service. I always get a attitude or question like I'm dumb. I've been making payments on my car for over a year, I call to make my payment and all of a sudden I don't have an account when I call?! Then they send me a letter saying my payment is late (which isn't possible) because even when I pay I over pay what I owe. LBS could improve by retraining their staff... example... Marisol Chavez on compassion and better customer service. MARISOL is rude and unsympathetic. She lacks customer service skills and should not work with the public. She makes your company look bad. I would never recommend anyone deal with a company that allows a representative to get loud with a grieving widow and hang up on customers.
