I have never used a credit union before and coming here was the first for me. I don't have an account but my sis does. We came here to get a car loan. Talked to the auto loan rep and she did her initial processing to give us numbers to work with. You can get a better loan with a new car vs used car. My sis knew what car she wanted but she didn't have a solid credit history, which is where I came in. What was great about this place? There was a teller Gabriel the other day that had the worst attitude ever. I understand customer service can be difficult at times but to be so rude and unwilling to help when no one has done anything to you is absurd !! I should've left when he rolled his eyes at me sighing as if I was an inconvenience to him.

This place is terrible. They put holds on every one of my checks although I've never had one not go through, I've been banking with these people for years, and I've had the same employer for years. I have to call this bank every week to get them to release my funds to me. Not only that, I have to do that today -- and the phones are down. ATM was down, I went inside to get cash out - I use an affiliate credit union - the clerk said he couldn't go in, that my account was restricted - there was something wrong w my account Are you sure? I am able to log in using my phone to my account, no message, server is working - he dismissed me, didn't ask his colleagues ... I went outside, the ATM was working and got my cash Terrible customer service , lazy and not willing to problem solve

If I could give zero stars, I would. This credit union treats both its employees and customers with complete disregard. They advertise themselves as a "community-focused" institution, but in reality, they prioritize themselves over people at every turn. Customer service? Nonexistent. Expect long wait times, rude interactions, and constant issues with your accounts. Instead of helping members, they seem more interested in making things as difficult as possible. I bank with Orange County Credit Union, but I use LBS to withdraw money often. The other night the ATM ate my card for not apparent reason. Gave me my withdrawal but ate my card and then said the machine was out of service. I called to try and to receive my card but they apparently dispose of cards this happens to immediately. So not only did they take my card, they offered no solutions to help me retrieve it. Now I have to deal with a big ole hassle situating everything over to a new card. LBS CU in Newport Beach has rude management. Single teller talks endlessly about which accounts to draw funds from while customers wait in line. If customer doesn't know which account to draw funds from they need to talk to someone sitting at a desk. Actually the place has several people at desks doing nothing. Single Teller is obtuse and deliberately controls other customers ability to make simple transactions. Also the ATM in not their responsibility. DO NOT USE THEIR ATM MACHINES! I deposited $820 cash into my account last night and the machine took my money but didn't count or add it to my account. I am now having to go through the process of getting my money back.
