I used to like this place but the last two times I were terrible. I went to get my roots done. The colorist left color around my hairline (didn't adequately protect the skin or wasn't careful about putting on the color); put on the color unevenly (I had areas where she missed applying the color, and the colorist couldn't have been more disinterested if she was trying. Would not recommend..

Well I found Madison Reed color bar an made an appointment. So I opted for a nice color they had . I love the color and the colorist was very nice . Took about 1 1/2 they color wash and have options you may add . Conditioners , blowouts and masks for the hair gloss etc . Things I never knew existed. They wash your hair add your products. The color was great but the wash didn't get all the color out so I ended up with two sores on each side of my head lasting more than a week. iI felt like amateur hour. I was very clear my greys were very resistant and the director suggested there stronger color. After we were done I noted to my colorist that it didn't appear that the color covered. She said it was the lighting. Sure enough once getting home it is clear the color did not cover. Now I'm getting the run around for a solution.

I wish I had paid attention to the reviews. I initially booked for an all-over color and when the girl assessed me she said it should just be for roots so I thought that was fine since most of my greys are just at the hairline. The girl didn't make any nice chit chat with me. Then when my timer was up, she didnt come back. Instead another girl (much nicer) washed my hair and she was flexible enough to give me a blowout (even though I didnt schedule it). Because this hair bar fried my hair last year, on 8/21, and because the product is good, I recently ordered and paid for their product (product is good) for pickup. The order confirmation expressly said the order was ready for pickup and will be held for "5 days" at the Laguna location. I arrive at the Laguna location at 10 am on day 5 (8/26), and the staff said they cancelled my order (I never got any notice of that). Color was way too dark - despite showing them a picture of the color that I wanted. They asked for feedback via email. I gave it and the email mentioned someone would be in touch....but no haven't heard anything.

THE REVIEWS ARE RIGHT. PLEASE LISTEN: I originally booked for partial highlights, and even showed my confirmation, but was told upon arrival that it was for accent/balayage. After a brief consult with Michelle, I was talked into the balayage despite clearly explaining what I wanted. This used to be a great place with good customer service however in the last few years there has been a high turn over of employees over the years and unhappy employees with poor customer service. I arrived two minutes before my appointment, checked in, pointed to a seat and then forgotten for 30 minutes before someone noticed that I had been sitting there and asked again if I had been checked in.
