I'm back up to five stars after my last few visits. I think it depends who is working that day and also how difficult some customers may be. Lately I find everyone working here is great. They are all sweet and accommodating. Allison, the manager, runs the floor easily and is everywhere all the time. She remains calm and really seems to treat the stylists well which in turn leads to great service. I was there in Dec for all over color and the colorist recommended going forward just doing the roots as the all over processing was damaging my hair. I appreciated the consult that my hair didn't look so good and that she said it in a very nice way. Returned today and Michelle did my roots and a gloss application. She was very knowledgeable about color and even recommended a product to protect the heat from your hair (from sun) that Madison Reed doesn't even sell. Madison reed salon at San Ramon are great! It works for me because all I need most of the time is my monthly roots coverage and optional I will get a glass too, and about every three months I'll get all over color. Price is reasonable and I can always make an appointment when I need to.

First time here . I wish they pay more attention to cleaning all the hair color that goes on the ears , cheeks when stylist colors your hair . They did a good job of blow drying and styling hair .

Come inside this bustling salon and you are always greeted within a few minutes. One of the lovely ladies will assist you as best as able. The hairstylists are professional and courteous. The salon is clean. A large parking structure built inside the complex offers great accessibility to the salon. I've been here a few times and have been very happy with the service and kindness of the staff.

I first heard about Madison Reed through Brad Mondo reviews and seeing the products at ulta. The first time I visited Bishop Ranch I was surprised to see a color bar salon on site. When I googled Madison Reed it took me to a hair color quiz to match my perfect color. I usually color my hair at home using a red violet between levels of 4VR, 5VR or 6VR. My regular stylist took a month off due to a family issue so I scheduled a root touch up and gloss at Madison Reed in San Ramon. My colorist was Mercedes who was awesome. We agreed on a color and Mercedes was kind, professional and informative. She explained how the process worked since it was my first time and they have a new kind of business model for a salon. I've been coming here since this location opened. I even joined the membership. This location is super clean and well maintained. Everyone who works here are very friendly and fantastic colorist. I love the shampooing process also. They give the best shampoo and head massage. I definitely recommend this location and also recommend obtaining the Madison Reed monthly membership. Totally worth it!!
