I asked for a full head of highlights and explained that it is my way of gradually going full blonde without ruining my hair. I admit, the hair stylist was paying attention to details and not cutting corners (which also resulted in me staying over 2 hours longer than anticipated), but when my hair fully dried I realized that there were two RECTANGLES of dark hair completely missed for no reason on EACH SIDE of my head... I look like a weird anime character. I don't know what to do, I'm so upset

youre charged extra fees without knowing it. and they don't wash the dye properly out of your hair. color is great. pricing and washing is not. Caroline Eichman

Went in for color to match my color - dark blonde with highlights - came out a brunette with red highlight. What an enormous screw up! Also, they are extreme short staffed and my 4:15 appt didn't get started until 5:15.

I went to uws location for highlights and I really wish I never entered that place my hair I s fried Omgggg i really wanna cry they ruined my hair so bad products cheap service nooooo !!!

I've been going to Madison Reed for root touch ups for the past four months after using at home coloring for 20 years to cover my greys. I quickly noticed bald patches around my hair line, but attributed it to a medical condition as Madison Reed claims they do not use ammonia or any other harsh chemicals. Would give a zero if I could. I have been having my roots done for the last 30 years and NEVER had my hair fall out EVER!!! I also hardly write negative reviews, I try to give compliments when I can. I understand tht Madison Reed does not use harsh chemicals but some type of reaction happened when I had my roots done end of January on the third avenue salon. They don't pick up the phone or respond to emails when they are open!!! I booked an appointment and randomly I get an email saying it got cancelled (not by me!!!) I've tried calling and emailing to see why!?! And no response !! I just want to make sure I'm not charged for the appointment, if so I'm disputing this as fraud and scam!!!!! Horrible customer service, never booking with them again.

First, the links on my receipt email to review Madison Reed didn't work. Second, on my first visit my email told me to expect a "color consultation," which didn't happen. They also told me to expect a "head massage," which also didn't happen. In fact, the woman who shampooed my hair sprayed a lot of water into my ear. And the woman sitting next to me complained that during her shampoo, her earring was knocked out. After my shampoo, no one came over to offer me a comb or a dry towel. I had to ask. DO NOT GET HIGHLIGHTS HERE! I went there to get highlights. I really liked the brand and the fact that they are less toxic but omg this was my worst salon experience ever.
