it is the worst place that I have been. I left the place with 4 hair tone, brittle hair, and the most expensive damage in my hair that I have ever experienced! over processed and multiple color. I do not recommend . i also got an attitude when I complained!

On August 29, 2025, around 1:00 pm, I went to the Madison Reed location on 11403rd Avenue, New York, NY 10065, Manhattan. Unfortunately, my experience was very negative. The person at the front desk (cashier) showed a very poor attitude toward customers. This is the second time I come here and receive the same bad treatment. Upper east side location was understaffed on the day of my appointment leading to poor outcome. There should be a mechanism to alert clients in advance and give the option if rescheduling.

I am writing to warn my NYC community about the Manager at 1140 3rd Ave, UES Madison Reed, who damaged my hair when I received her services for highlights and root coverage on March 25, 2025. This service caused my hair to break due to unprofessional application of hair products. Asked for blonde not orange got a blonde with red tones :(, asked for refund but they did a "free seconf process" not happy not a godo place for blondes, wont be going back

DON'T DO IT. So I booked my first appointment for a full head of highlights (they sent me a coupon) + blow out and from start to finish a complete disaster. I don't believe these are trained stylist as I felt no one was listening to my needs. I asked the colorist for ashe blond yet after 3 hours (yes you're reading this correctly), it came out brown. Garbage customer service. If an item is not in stock, the employee should offer to call other stores and see if it is in stock at another location. Telling the customer that they can call another store themselves is poor customer service. Also, employees should not have iPhone earbuds in their ears while attending to customers.

I insisted on caramelizing my long hair several times. I put the photo of the hair color I wanted on my phone so that it would bring me a dark brown color, almost like black. Color literacy and not having any expertise, they are just waiting to get money. I am not really happy with this hair color. I do not recommend it to anyone

very unhappy with the results. I decided to try this place despite some negative reviews. I booked a single process and asked the colorist not to make my hat darker but just remove the reddish tone I was not happy about from my previous color. she chose and dark shade and the outcome is a black hair.
