Sometimes things don't always work out and how the company deals with it makes all the difference. In this case Madison Reed wasn't for me. My interaction with the general manager, Candice however made me want to write this five star review. She was a pleasure to deal with and did her absolute best to try to fix my issue but it just wasn't right for me. She then cheerfully refunded my money when I still wasn't happy. What a wonderful professional and genuine person....Madison Reed is lucky to have her :)

Just got my roots touched up along with a gloss treatment and a blowout, all done by Iram. She did an amazing job covering up my stubborn white hairs that frame my face without touching the balayage I have from three months ago. She was very gentle and intricate with my hair and that gloss treatment made my hair so soft and shiny! I will be coming back here again!

Loved the whole experience from the moment I arrived in the salon. Its pristine and welcoming and all the staff are so sweet and friendly. The color is beautiful and they mix the perfect one for your hair. I will certainly go back to do my roots each time!

Shout out to Ashley at the UES salon. I'd tried two Madison Reed colors after an online phone consult from a photo, and each time they were not what I was looking for (too red), so I figured I would go by one of the salons and get someone to look at my hair in person. I called in advance and was told 'yes' someone could look at my hair. The women in the salon who greeted me were lovely, and Ashley consulted with me about the best way to go with my hair. I have been using the Madison Reed home coloring kit for a while, I am happy with the color/formula and like the idea of having a professional apply the same product I am using at home (I sometimes miss some spots in the back). I was glad to hear that a new Color Bar opened in my neighborhood, previously I went to the original Madison Reed Color Bar in Flatiron (which closed and reopened after a hiatus in a different location). Beautiful salon, brightly lit and very friendly staff. I was searching colorists on Instagram and their ad popped up. After doing some basic Google searches and seeing their color was focused on covering gray and didn't take too long to use I figured I would take a chance as my regular stylist is on maternity leave. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and an interesting business model. Madison Reed is known for coloring products to use at home and they have recently opened a few salons. Everything is fresh and modern. All the home products are available for sale. I had a gloss application and blow out with David, a stylist. He did a great job!
