My wife and I received gift cards to visit the middlebury CT location near our home. I want to know what I did wrong to the person who gave me these gift cards to go to this location and have a horrible experience. First the calamari was soggy outside and rubbery in the inside. I ordered fish and chips. The fries were over cooked and hard, the fish was ok at first then tasted dry and the cole slaw was dry. I received a terribly small tasteless meal, while my partner received twice the amount of food for the same choice of a meal. substituted a small salad for fries and was charged more. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The Lager cod fry, was bland and a childs portion. On a scale of 1 to 5 I say -1.

it takes a lot for me to waste my time for a review but after they wasted mine so here goes. waited an hour for food. didn't top off drinks. food came at different times, some people in our party finished before others got food. forgot meals altogether. food cold. staff we're not switched on.

The absolute WORST restaurant I've been to probably in my life. It is DIRTY and literally gives you the creeps sitting in there looking at thick dust, cobwebs, sticky tables, and dirty floors. The bathroom is also disgusting and the floor was filled with water, definitely gave outhouse vibes. The service was horrendous! We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 kids meal. Expensive meals now. Not worth it. $21 for frozen fish n chips . Fish was minimal and so were the string fries.

Avoid this location, it's gross. Especially the "brunch" menu. Bathrooms need renovating too it's gross in there.

Food is usually good but in my Caesar salad i asked for chicken and instead of regular chicken it was BBQ. Additionally, there was a large shard of GLASS in my salad. The manager took it off our bill and gave us a small gift card but the gift card wasn't even enough to cover a main course and a drink. Pretty pathetic overall, not going back. Clearly they don't care all that much about the cleanliness of their kitchen and the safety of the customers.

Word to the wise, NEVER order takeout. We've only tried twice, and both times it was a horrible experience. The first time it took the driver almost 2 hours to get the food. First they told him they never received the order. We called and complained and all of a sudden it had magically just come through. Then it took more than an hour for them to give it to the driver. Being accused of not leaving a tip (I left 20% cash) because the waiter misplaced it in her own apron pocket then the waiter come to your table to argue with you about it is insane. I agree with leaving tips for good service which the service was good but to do that to customers is so rude, disrespectful and wrong. 1st I left the tip, 2nd I left it in cash for your benefit, 3rd so if someone doesn't leave a tip you think the next step is to accost them at their table when they are getting ready to leave in front of everyone ... read more
