Last night my AC went out, I called several company's. But saw the great reviews for Maki Heating and Air. And called the immediately great customer service from start to finish. Brent was out Tech and was very informative and got our AC in and running on the spot. I am a business owner myself and this is exactly how we operate. Glad to see a fair and trustworthy company.

A/C was not working on a 103 degree day. Saw that Maki had good reviews, so I called them. They sent a tech, John, out within a few hours. He checked the outside compressor while I watched. He quickly told me that the compressor had completely failed and that I needed to replace the whole system (including what is in the attic). I know my way around electrical and I just didn't feel he was testing it correctly. When I challenged him, he seemed to get annoyed. He kept promoting a new system. Maki customer service is great - they're knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly. They came out last summer when our coolers pooped out (when it was 110 of course); they got the units running again but advised they were at the end of their lifespan. This spring we called them for a follow-up consult. They did a thorough inspection of the coolers, furnaces, and ductwork, and gave us multiple options how to proceed so we could choose a price point that worked for us. Great service. From the lovely phone interactions on. Nice guys installed my heater and A/C. They were all cheerful at their work and did a great job.
Maki installed a new swamp cooler on our home in Colfax about two years ago. So this was the second summer to experience it. It is supposed to have two speeds, low and high. However, there seems to be no difference. Like its just low all the time. I have called them and they told me there would be a charge to come out and check it. But they installed it and if they installed the wiring wrong, I should not have to pay. Also the unit they put in is extremely difficult to maintain. I've suffered with a poorly performing central a/c for 2 years, because 3 other local companies failed to correctly diagnose my problem. Maki's tech found the issue right away and had it fixed the next week. Highly recommend these guys for any hvac needs.

My A/C unit stopped working this past Sunday night (high was about 106 that day). Maki responded first to inquiries and had availability the next day! The time window was between 12-3pm. I called at about 2:30pm, since the house was pretty warm, to see when they would be out. They were running late, but we weren't the only ones whose AC died. They arrived around 4pm.
