Meritage provides horrible quality homes, that fall apart constantly, and they do not stand behind their work

I was hoping that some consideration could take place regarding the situation we were put in. I wanted nothing more then to live in a meritage home. However, my husband has a timeframe to get established and ready to work in Nogales. We were unsuccessful in finding a rental for 3 children, a dog and 2 cats. I was able to find one but it was $6,500/month and we financially could not. Due to the lack of rentals bc of the crazy market, we honestly had no other choice. Submitted warranty claims for over 5 months, but still have not been put on the schedule. I email the person over the warranty department to never get a response. My house will be out of the 1 year warranty in October.

Meritage Meritage is my first experience with a national builder, and it was a very disappointing, frustrating one - from start to finish. Our sales person disappeared without a backfill after the contracts were signed; we had to escalate several construction issues to corporate due to lack of local response; the financing was extremely disorganized to the point of having to wait several hours on the day of closing for them to send paperwork; warranty issues are still not being addressed after several months, even after esc... read more

I'm having the worst experience in my life with my first home. Lost sleep and appetite begging warranty rep to have their so called contractors to fix my house right.

Absolute worst experience ever! Having closed 100+ homes for myself and clients this is the first builder I have ever had that moved people in without certificate of occupancies. It took a pre walk and 4 final walks and my house is still having issues that should have been addressed. I closed June 30th and after two weeks I find out on the same day that I have no certificate of occupancy and that their horrible lender lost my mortgage paperwork and want me to resign it. We have been in our home for almost 15 months. We are suppose to have a 1-Year Warranty designed to make necessary repairs or corrections. We turned in a list prior to the 12 month period. We received an email right after turning in the list that they would get back to us and they were prioritizing repairs. Three months later, we have heard nothing. We have multiple cracks in the tile floors in two bathrooms and numerous other issues. Not happy with Meritage Homes and at this point I would not recommend them for a new ... read more

Horrible experience at Leesburg Fl. My yard floods and they said its would be woked on and its going to be a year in august and no work has been done. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.....YOU WILL REGRET IT
