This is an early review but my experience so far has been terrible. I have a purchase contract for a home but expect the price to go up about 70k from the advertised price on their site. Also poor communication and transparency is crazy. I am guessing demand is just so high they stopped caring about n their customers.

The experience was great. Mr. Phong Le was very knowledgeable about the product he was selling. There is not bid war, and the homes have a lot of perks with great materials. There homes are smart homes as well with sprinkler systems built in. Just an awesome, wonderful experience. My search stopped with Mr. Le.

Would not recommend - poorly constructed tract homes with little to no accountability from the builders themselves. Horrible communication, 0 oversight of their sub-contractors and they essentially leave you a construction site to clean up upon move-in.

I have a cash buyer coming in your associates didn't return calls no appointment scheduling nothing, very difficult to deal with sad thing is she most likely would have paid cash for this townhome but they didn't care were very rude when I tracked them down after two days of calling. from a realtor trying to sell your product this is twice this has happened no more...

Property manager is extremely pushy on trying to get you to buy a house. Even when you are just looking. Will completely skip over your realtor so he doesn't have to try and deal with them and try and only work directly with you. Their loan department will request typical documents. Then when you provide those, they all of a sudden need more documents. And then they want bank info, like account numbers, ALL of your transactions, they want you to link your assets and if you do, they can run a transaction history any time they... read more

My first review did not save so trying again here. Nice sales staff and loved the head of construction albeit he was overworked. The house has a great floor plan. The trim is poor. Fraying on the edges showing it is made of compressed paper. The flooring is all scratched up and it has been just one year. I am sure the warranty does NOT say, 'if you have dogs this warranty is null and void but I am guessing that this is what I will hear from Meritage. The inspection finally is scheduled.

The neighborhoods are designed nicely. The trimwork is compressed paper that fell apart on the corners within months of moving in. The window was cracked and the company said it was ours to fix. Calls to have things looked at or fixed are on a voice mail with no message and return calls are slow to respond. The 1 yr inspection in which we could get things fixed is over 1 month overdue. My experience with Meritage has not been positive. Meritage gave me the appearance they cared about us up until we closed on the house. the quality home we were promised is not what we received. The warranty team is awful with regard to response times or communications about delays. I submitted a service request on 10/26 and didn't hear anything about my request until I followed up 30 days later only to be told there is a 60 day backlog on service requests. A/C units are undersized for the sq ft. of which goes against Meritage energy efficiency sales pitch, Windows are flimsy, stucco is not thick enough, wiring issues . when you use the portal the customer service reps do not care. they try to put the blame on the customer.
