Meritage Homes is horrendous when it comes to customer care. We have been going back and forth with them for months over a home purchase. We have provided absolutely every possible document to them and were finally approved. And then they came back with another reason why we couldn't purchase the house due to their lender not being able to close until 2022. If only negative stars were possible, worst mistake ever buying from meritage, nightmare house, have already had black mold (built Nov 20) from shoddy cabinet installation and the nightmare continues.

The follow up maintenance is horrible. I submitted a list of 1 year warranty items in October 2020 and not a single item has been addressed. I also have an urgent flooding issue in my basement and it’s been over a week and no one has been out.

Meritage has one of the most disrespectful and racist supervisor that works for you. He calls people fat fucks, faggots, and has absolutely no respect for anybody around him. Every single trade on the job site absolutely hates his idiot. His name is Raylond H. He works at the San tan ridge area. He has been already warned to stop being disrespectful and he continues. It is absolutely uncalled for and it needs to be taken care of. There's no place for that type of behavior.

My clients hired Meritage Homes to build a home for them. Meritage Homes promised to give my clients a credit up to a certain amount and in the end, they did not fulfill this promise. We attempted to contact the supervisor, the supervisors supervisor, as well as the CEO of this company by phone, email, and mail...... to no avail. There was always promises to return calls, etc. Still "5" months later, no resolution!!!!! I was told that my home was sold to someone else and was never notified that my contract was cancelled and that Meritage would steal my earnest money. After all the hours that I spent picking out everything for the home and working with the agent, it is beyond disrespectful that I did not receive a call or follow-up. This is the worst experience and now I'm trying to get in contact with someone and just keep getting voicemails.

We have been in our home for a little over a month. The construction crews working around us are horrible. Right now the road is totally blocked and we cannot get out of our house. My wife is 2 weeks from giving birth and if she goes into labor we have no way to get to the hospital, and if we have a fire the Fire Dept has no access to our house.

I am a Realtor and represented a client who purchased a home in Savanna I lakewood ranch. The home itself is beautiful but there were several punch out items at closing. We actually extended closing a few days because it was so many items. We were assured the punch out list would be completed in the follow week or so.
