We purchased our home sometime last Year in July. after we close, we notice an issue with the garage lock which was installed poorly. I reported the issue to Michael who is our Sales Rep he promised to help it fixed before he left the Company. The issue affected the door garage we could not open the door dues to poor installation of the door lock that is jingling from one point to another. The worst experience of my life. You buy this home and spend alot of money and have someone that is 18yo doing the walk through with you making all these promises to only be left with lists of many items to me fixed and corrected. Nobody really cares because you don't get proper communication from the warranty service manager. You have no shows. You take off of work to get these trades done not nobody follows through to give you the assurance that they will show up. You still deal with this day and day now I'm at 4 month... read more

I submitted a claim and Jennifer Bennett called me and started yelling at me without reason. Jennifer was not listening at all and keep saying that this is not covered at all. My claim covered or not is my concern. My concern is what did I do wrong by buying a house from Meritage . Jennifer was yelling at me like I did a crime. She has zero communication manners. Jennifer said go head talk to John Miller my boss, I don't care.

Will not recommend this builder to anyone. False promises, bare minimum efforts, lies. Feeling so defeated because we are stuck with this home we paid well over half a mil for us to be treated like this. If you search in any other website, Meritage has worst ratings. All these ratings on the website are deff filtered. we are full of regrets and I hope new home owners won't make the same mistakes.

Meritage customer care department does not care VOC (Voice Of Customer), if you purchase Meritage home, do not expect any warranty service.

My customer service prior to purchasing was wonderful. Now that I have closed and moved in it's be nothing but problems. After 4+ months, I'm still waiting on warranty claims to be fixed and resolved. It shouldn't take this much effort on my part to get a house that is turn key. I bought a brand new home for a reason.

DO NOT BUY A MERITAGE HOME! The workmanship of their homes is terrible! We've never seen a home built so backwards and poorly! You will regret it as do dozens of homeowners in our neighborhood!! They lie to you throughout the whole process and make excuses for poor quality! The fixtures are extremely cheap as well - everything in our house is cheap! The workers do not care about your home.

Our house has been ok thus far (as far as we know) but neighbors have had multiple plumbing issues with master showers and Meritage has been very lacking in speed and quality in repair of these issue, taking the cheapest route every time. I have repaired my own drywall and cocked the master shower where work was incomplete in order to repair water damage and mold in my wall. Neighbors have had it much worse than me. Also a fire broke out in a neighbors house due to an HVAC issue by Meritage. It seems like they did ok work on... read more

We are so disappointed in our experience, it has been a nightmare and this has caused our family so much stress and nearly a year later we are still trying to get resolution to issues with the home.
