Went to Metvis about 15 years ago and had a great experience so when my wife recently lost her rings we went back. We worked with Brenda and had another great experience and got exactly what we wanted. Brenda spent a lot of time showing us several beautiful diamonds and answering all of our questions. Highly recommended!

Mervis and Monica Park made our engagement shopping process so much more enjoyable than such a large purchase would normally be! The first time we went in to look at rings & styles, Monica was able to explain to us the basics, because we had no idea about anything. Elizabeth Appleman worked with us and was excellent. My gal had already gone to Tiffany's to get the lay of the land. But I knew nothing about diamonds and was in need of remedial education. Elizabeth was clear and patient, going back multiple times to find diamonds that would help us grasp which of the various components mattered for our need. I went to Mervis to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I knew that they worked with Veraggio and thats what I went to go buy. I was incredibly nervous when I walked in but was quickly helped by Maria Kamali. Had a great experience with the Rockville Mervis, in particular our sales associate, Kris. He was extremely responsive, patient and helpful through email, phone calls and in person. He helped my boyfriend and I find the perfect diamond that was in our budget. He was not pushy or offput at all by my indecisiveness, which was greatly appreciated.

PROS: Friendly, professional staff. Very accommodating; they want you to be happy and they will do everything they can to make that happen. My fiancé and I strongly recommend Brenda Friedman! CONS: Beware of in-store resizing! While their staff may know what they're doing (in terms of extensive diamond and metal knowledge), I am not convinced that their jeweler(s) is at the same level. My husband went to Mervis over 10 years ago when we got engaged; since that time, I have gone back for annual polishings and have always had a positive experience. Several months ago my ring needed to be sent out to NY to the designer for repair of the prongs (which had worn down over time) but unfortunately they made it worse. I bought my fiancée's engagement ring from Kris Greenwell at Mervis, and we both could not have been happier with the ring and his service. He was knowledgeable and honest, and even fought to get us a price on a diamond that was virtually equal to wholesale price so that we could get it all done through Mervis. When there was a snafu with the timing of the shipping (not his fault), he again fought for us and got it UPS'ed on Saturday delivery.
