Two Stars Wireless doesn't work
Like the way it prints and scans Had to hire a Geek to install it on my computer. Directions were NOT clear. Like the way it prints and scans.
Look elsewhere for an MFC printer I have had this printer for less than 6 months and just knew I'd be writing a crummy review at some point - something I rarely ever do. First thing out of the box I see that the hinges that open and shut the top to place paper directly on the glass are very cheap - they won't last long. Brand new it closed like a 5 year old printer. App that you will need for this doesn't work This is supposedly a direct wifi capable printer. I contacted brother support on the phone and they were not helpful at all in getting this to work with windows operating system. I have a laptop, and want to print from using direct wifi, but although brother has made an app for the window store, the app does not actually work. Wish I could return this Pretty disappointed - When the box arrived, it looked pretty beat up, or maybe recycled from another machine. It was the proper box, but there were many squares of the surface of the box where the sticker, or facing had been cut away with an exacto knife leaving many brown squares unprotected against the elements - thankfully, it did not rain when it arrived, but if it had, I imagine the water would have more easily soaked thorugh the areas where there was no label. Failed within two months This printer no longer functioned within two months of the purchase. Attempting to turn it on only results in a flashing white LCD screen and an accompanying clicking sound at each flash. My future printer purchases will likely be Canon. Disappointed Brother!
DISAPPOINTING I bought this printer in July 2017. Now it's Nov, 2018 and I've begun using it for legal work. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I can't begin to total how much time and money I've lost thanks to this printer. It bunches up paper, prints with spots and ghosts. Plus, for a laser printer the type is muddled, not crisp. Poorer quality printing than the Brother printers of old Very poor print quality. I've had Brother printers for at least 15 years. Many of them. I bought this one to replace a venerable DCP-7065DN that has worked very well for many years. This newer model simply prints more poorly than the older model 7065 (which this seems heir to, as it's nearly identical). Don't get me wrong, it prints. Don't waste your money Don't waste your money. Wireless does NOT work and neither does Ethernet. You're going to have to plug it into your computer in order to get it to work at all, otherwise you're going to have to re-install the driver literally every day, and sometimes twice a day. Customer service was completely unresponsive and forced me to argue with them for nearly an entire workday before finally agreeing to send me a replacement.
