    it's really frustrating and a complete waste of time (over an hour each time running tests ... Scanner keeps disconnecting from our home wireless network. I have to call Brother customer service almost once a month; it's really frustrating and a complete waste of time (over an hour each time running tests and updating software). I am going with the HP, hope that works better.

    THIS WILL NOT PRINT MORE THAN 35 PAGES!!! IMPORTANT: THIS WILL NOT PRINT JOBS MORE THAN 35 PAGES!!!!! This printer does not have a USB port, which means that it connects with your computer entirely by wireless. This means that your computer transmits data to the printer's memory card, which is not that big. The printer's memory will hold no more than 35 pages of data (maybe less; I'm printing out a court transcript, which has fewer words per page than a usual print job).     One Star Scanner doesn’t work with more than 2 papers...

    By-pass tray issue I have purchased many Brother printers and have been quite satisfied with their performance. However, this one has a defect: when I put a sheet of labels or an envelope in the by-pass tray, the print impression comes out not level or straight. I do not know if all MFCL2740DW have the same problem or if it is just mine.     Failed after less than a year's mild to moderate use ... Failed after less than a year's mild to moderate use. The message that it required a new cartridge would not turn off or accept full new cartridges redding it non-functional. No alleviation of the problem on line or at the manufacturer. Heading to the recycle unless Brother says they will take it back.

    Don't buy Brother products!!!! Two months after using this MFC it would disconnect from the wireless connection on at least a weekly basis. The distributor gave only a 30 day refund limit. I called Brother support and they helped me through the steps to get it to print wirelessly which took 1 1/2 hours. After spending countless hours repairing this unit and numerous calls to Brother, I am getting a Xerox unit. Brother would not replace the unit or offer any type of refund and now I am out the $200+ spent on this MFC. Really ... read more

    Do Not Purchase - Poor Sensors/Software One problem after another. Worked well for six months now its a series of error message when there is no problem. Tray open, top open, paper jam, etc. but there is no problem and it will not print. I've done all the tricks and removed/reinstalled several times. This fixes it for a printing or two and then back to the same problems. I print about 400 sheets a month. Avoid this printer.

    Drum failed, drops Wifi When it works it works. Drops WiFi, drum unit failed in 600 pages. Brother customer service was polite but not that helpful. I would not buy again.

    SOFTWARE makes it GARBAGE >:( BROTHER DOESN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS Completely useless. It worked fine the few times i used it in the first year, but as soon as the warranty was up, it got a little crazy on me. Now, it only works, and only sometimes, if i run the troubleshooter. Every. Time. I need to print. And then it only works if I'm lucky! The actual printing process is fine, but something with the software is berserk. Brother, what the heck am i supposed to do with this? Total waste of money and time. SO FRUSTRAT... read more
