I wish this gym weren't so expensive. I'm a member, and have been for over a year but with the new Planet Fitness moving in across the street at 1/4 the cost ($855 a year at MF and $240 a year at PF) and typically just as clean, it's hard to not switch. Unless they become a little more competitive in their pricing, I'm afraid most people will be across the street. :(

I wish it wasn't so pricey. It's very close to my home, clean, and if I went the daytime, it's not crowded. But it's out of our price range to renew our family membership with just three of us now, sadly. It was more worth it when all the kids lived at home and we had some need for the childcare, which I understand is a big draw for young parents but it kind of feels like some of the cost is on all members, kids or not. That's the reason for 3 rather than 5 stars. $1200+ year (if I pay upfront, more for monthly) is too much.... read more

I love this gym!! I have been going to the gym for about 4 years and I know most of the staff. They are always updating their equipment and have plenty of machines to workout on, I never have to wait. The yoga is amazing! I haven't tried the other classes, but I have heard they are great! I really appreciate the way the Personal Training department does business. Anthony talks to you about training but doesn't push it on you, if you want it you will buy it. I was back in Arizona visiting my parents with my boy pal and we wanted to try out this gym so we got the 5-day pass. This gym was something else! PRICE & ENVIRONMENT (4/5) Membership was $44 per month at the time that we visited. This included access to basically everything, some items (from what I remember) from the cafe, saunas, and of course a full gym with lots of free weights and machines. My kids are no longer at the age where I need to use the daycare so it seems the Magic has worn off here... outdated equipment, bogus fees each year, not the cleanest anymore, and I cancelled. I wish there was a nice clean gym with good classes in surprise

Since you have been to the club we have made some upgrades adding over 40 pieces of Brand New Cardio Equipment, added our Peak Performance Zone, a new cycle studio, and more. Machines are not clean or maintained by staff. There is dust and when the front desk was told they didn't do anything. It remained dusty and gross for weeks and weeks which makes me wonder what else is not clean...

Do note we have a cleaning crew that services our clubs each day in addition to the front desk staff continually performs floor walks to ensure cleanliness of the club. Cleanliness is a top priority of ours. If you have any additional concerns, please let our General Manager know as she is always open to discuss and improve your experience at Mountainside Fitness. She would also be happy to walk the floor with you to address your concerns on site.
When you change your "guest policy" without notification & charge on the first time for a 12 year old. "There is nothing we can do". Terrible customer service.

We love mountainside fitness. The facilities are clean and the machines are well kept. The locker room provides dry and wet sauna for after your workout. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They also provide quality childcare for those with children. Our kids love to go to the gym which helps us stay motivated to keep going. The prices are very affordable for all that you get.

I am not a member of the gym, which is beautiful, but had the best massage from their massage therapist, Tracy Fate! She gives you exactly what you ask for and won't leave you hurting, if your like me and want a light-med pressure. I will definitely be back!! Great prices and worth every penny.
