I have mixed feelings about this gym. I used to belong, then got disgusted when Mountainside reserved several precious parking spots for people who had donated large sums of money to the gym's pet charity. I would drive to the gym looking for a parking spot, and about half a dozen spots would be empty but barricaded, because for many weeks only certain people would be allowed to park there. I recently joined Mountainside Fitness in Surprise after trying out a different gym and touring several other gyms in the vicinity. I've found Mountainside Fitness to be the best by far in cleanliness, well maintained equipment, the variety of classes, value, amenities, and great energy! The employees are exceptionally friendly and helpful (Saydi, Kristin, and Colleen to name just a few). I wish I would have seen the reviews about the sauna / steam room some time ago before joining. This is clearly a long running issue- especially the sauna. This is a crucial part of why I joined a gym. I want to go in every time after I work out. The thing is, I was shocked to see someone in there with full work out clothes, phone, shoes, everything. I said something to the woman at the front as I left. Again and again, day after day this problem. These women, and the staff, apparently have no idea that they are making this ... read more

Nice gym! Awesome instructors with great classes. My kids love the childcare and there is lots of equipment to choose from!

Ok, over priced, music geared to one demographics, plus it is so loud it makes it hard to hear personal music, even with ear buds.

Hi Kenneth, We try to play a variety of music genres in the club. Due to the music streaming service we use, we cannot control the volume as some songs play louder than others. We are working on it. Love it. Its busy , but lots of nice equipment. My 2 yr old son loves the kids care. And all summer child care is free. So we signed up. Best thing we did!

I have been going here for 3 months now. I have a trainer Saydi she is the best. She pushes me to hit the goals I have set for myself. Very personal. I would recommend her to everyone. So if your looking for a trainer she's the one

Clean- nice gym- just wish they opened earlier both during the week and weekends. Thinking about changing gyms because of their hours and the other mountainsides (the ones near me) are way too crowded all of the time

we had a membership at another place for a year but we haven't really used, it was very close to our house, but then again, without considering some important factors like : cleanliness or sanitation,kid's friendly, I mean for those that has to bring their kids with them, different types of classes you would be interested to join, etc. Unfortunately that said gymn failed in all those criteria.
