If I had to pick a community today, I would pick Mustang Creek Estates, again. The care is above average in the Memory Care unit. The staff is there for maintenance and cleanliness and aiding in general care. The staff are above average. The medication management, hygiene care, bathing and dressing assistance is some of the care types the community is able to assist with. What we really enjoy about the Mustang Creek Estate is the more personalized experience and care for our father in law. He is able to get more one on one attention which we appreciate. It has been a good experience so far, no real improvement as of yet. They do a great job is something happens, they adapt and fix it right away

I would advise you not to go there. That place is not what it seems. We had family there every single day and we didn't see them do anything they said they were going to do. They were not equipped and not educated to handle my loved one or anyone with memory care problems.

This is a reasonable caring place for your loved one. They have activities like going out to eat, going to get ice cream. They also have an activity director that goes in and does great with the memory care.

They said that they had all of the covid protocols in place, but when we showed up for our tour no one took our temperature or asked any of the typical covid questions. The rooms were small and it was not very clean. It was not the right fit for my mom.

We had a very smooth move-in process. I love the atmosphere. It's more of a home-like atmosphere than a regular facility, which has been better for my mom. She has the same care staff all the time. So she gets to know them, and they get to know her, which has been really good for her. And I can tell she's comfortable with them. Mom was not eating at the place she was at before, and they thought she just couldn't feed herself. My mother was aware of her surroundings and knew her children when she was admitted. She lost about 8 pounds her first moth. She passed away after a total of 3 months weighing less than 90 pounds. Started out at 128 pounds. The don't give 2 snacks a day. Only allowed 1 cup of coffee, never get to eat what they want. It was all a lie! Rarely more than 1-2 care guests 14 patients. If you don't show up they leave them in bed. Staff do not have memory care training. Never had soap or hand towel to wash.

The staff at Mustang Creek were compassionate and worked hard to my my mother's move comfortable. Since the, staff turnover has created a need to re-address some issues. However, management is striving to bring new staff up to speed.
