Get directionsIn all honesty, our family wanted to love this facility. However, we could not even like it! It was a nightmare from the beginning! Our mom only lasted 2 weeks at MCE and it was 2 weeks too long! From the FILTH, lack of supervision, little to no activities to keep those sweet people active and their brains occupied and apparent lack of proper training of their staff…this was beyond anything we could imagine! I also find it appalling that A Place for Mom would even consider referring anyone to this facility! The list is too l... read more

Wendy – thank you for sharing your experience. Our Keller campus has a dedicated Activity Director and Activity Assistant, who oversee daily activities for all of our residents to keep them engaged and active. We coordinate activities across all of our houses and encourage residents to participate in those happening in other houses during that time, ensuring they remain involved in all activities we offer. We can assure you that our staff goes through comprehensive training at the time of hire and continuous training monthly... read more
The house itself seems clean enough, but the maintenance of the individual's room is poor. Specific needs for a patient get done once or twice, then don't happen again. Due to caregiver turnover possibly, and lack of integrity. Communication between patient, physician's assistant and medical assistant leaves much to be desired. My family member complains a lot about the same food items being served continuously. Need more variety. Director of MCE Keller does not return phone calls, nor seems to know what's going on. Overall experience, they were unable on most days to not only order but dispense my husbands meds. The food, looks, smell and taste was poor and the had times where they ran out of food. Quality of care was poor for a multitude of reason, staff spent most of their on personal conversations on their phones, when they could be checking on patience or picking up trash they were having little huddles in the kitchen all about personal issues. The Laundry was so poorly done, example they would retire it washed but they had put so m... read more

Condolences on the loss of your husband. We take the care and needs of our residents very seriously and we are saddened to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Your experience is clearly not reflective of the standards we strive for at Mustang Creek. We pride ourselves on providing high quality care to our residents and strive to hire the best in the business. We shop at our local grocery stores weekly in order for our residents to have three home cooked meals a day. We also have a state-of-the-art medication system ... read more
My mom wasn't able to reside at Mustang Creek. She passed away before we could get her there. If end of life care is involved, families need to investigate and plan for that carefully with Mustang and their Hospice. The house staff is energetic, thoughtful and caring.
Business response:
Our condolences on the loss of your loved one. Thank you for sharing your review, we appreciate the kind words about our staff. Thank you again!
My loved one is currently a resident at Mustang Creek Estates Keller. Overall, the facility needs cleaning. Housekeeping needs to do more than wipe the surfaces and the kitchen needs an all over good cleaning.
Business response:
Thank you for your review, we strive to have a clean environment for all of our residents. We always encourage our families to bring any concerns to the attention of our leadership team so they can be addressed immediately. Thank you again.
[name removed] is hard to work with, they say she is available 24/7, the go to person, I realize she has to sleep but when you go to her about real issues, you can hear her frustration of the issue. The next thing that makes me mad is they say once a week the patients room gets a deep clean, that is total crap, I clean my loved ones room. The food is passable there are a couple girls that cook pretty good, but if they aren't on...The girls (2) have to care for, cook, do laundry, medicine distribution and care for 14 people. ... read more
My loved one was previously a resident at Mustang Creek Estates Keller. Overall, our experience at this facility was poor. There were two Aides on each shift. I observed both of the Aides leaving the facility with no one there to take care of the residents. Custodial services were not provided as promised. The meals were not provided on time and were of poor quality. I would not recommend this facility.
Our family went to have an in person tour with Mustang Creek and I never made it past the front door. Walking in, the living, dining and kitchen areas were on top of each other - very cramped. It was loud and appeared unkept. I just told the greeter that I didn't want to waste her time, it wasn't a fit for my sister.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your experience. We take pride in our home like model, designed to allow our residents to truly feel like they are at home. We are sorry to hear that Mustang Creek was not a good fit for your loved one, but we appreciate you considering us. Thank you again.
Our family did not have a good experience at Mustang Creek Estates. The place is struggling. My mom definitely did not get the care that we paid for The building is nice, and the people who work there are doing the best they can. But they are not cooks, and the meals are tasteless and bland. Meals tend to be carbohydrate heavy. Not a lot of vegetables. We had an incident where there was no one in the building as one of the clients left the building setting off the alarms. It took a little while for somebody to get there. The... read more
