I rented an available unit online. When I went to check it out, someone had the unit in use with a lock. The person in the office said the unit shouldn't be in use. She said she would contact me the following day of the status and apologized for the inconvenience. She indeed did contact me the following day and let me know the lock had been removed and the unit was available for my use. She again apologized for the inconvenience.
After driving around the lot trying to locate my unit I called the office. The manager had been called to another location and couldn't get back for an hour. When he did arrive the unit was no O48 as listed in the Email but B48. Over an hour wasted. Manager was very apologetic and the unit was clean.
Very poor customer service, pretty obvious she did not want to be at work, not very helpful, didn't appreciate being forced to get renters insurance, paying for a month and will not be back.

No military discount for retires, you should change that!!
Had to evacuate from the fire in Tahoe and needed a place to store one of my vehicles, so I ask a few friends to help and accidently ended up with 2 storage spaces. Istorage refused to refund the charge even though I never once set foot on the property. It's a shame this business has to try and gouge a fire evacuee. There are much better facilities that actually care in Carson City.

I signed up for a new unit over the weekend on Sunday, Sept 12, 2021. Well, I had questions about the automated process so I called the 800 number and no one answered so I left a message. No one returned my call so I went to the storage unit because it was opened until 2 pm according to the website. Guess what? No one was there. I did not get a code to enter so I called the 800 number back and finally got a person and got a code.
