I opened a service request for my refrigerator. Technician came and just by looking at refrigerator he said he dont work on ** newer refrigerators and he left in less than 2 mins. Then I called ORHP and they said they will transfer to some another tech company on 1-2 days. Next day my refrigerator started working automatically. So i called and cancelled my service request. Absolutely no help. I've been without water for 3 days because of a broken pipe, and they refused my claim. It shouldn't matter how the pipe was broken, it's broken and I have no water coming to my house because of it. This is just ridiculous. What good is the home warranty if they're going to refuse claims. I am so outraged right now
Same - if I could review with zero stars, thats what this would be. They will find any reason to deny your claim and youll be paying for it on your own In the end anyway. Either save your money or find a reputable home warranty company. These guys are shisters just like their contractor base.
Our overall experience would be rated at zero stars, if it was possible. My fiance and I would not recommend Old Republic. We will allow for the quantifiable data to speak for itself. It took 21 days from the initial service call to the installation of our HVAC system. At 3 different points in the process Old Republic notified us that our system was set to be or was delivered forcing us to take days off of work and utilizing our contractors time when it was indeed, not available. Awful!! Waiting on hold hours to be told I need to pay over $2000 for my AC that is out and not functioning. Certain parts are not covered. Why have a warranty plan if I am going to be paying over $2000 dollars. I waited on hold 1.5 hours before having to hang up and 1 hour the next to be told this. So CRAZY!!!!
I filed a claim for a dishwasher on 8 July. ORHP contacted a company that is over an hour away from our house to come diagnose and fix the dishwasher. After a week and a half, the company(**************************) finally contacted us back to set up a time to come look at the dishwasher. They arrived 2 days later and diagnosed the motherboard as the problem. They did not have the part in stock so had to order it. I have waited 3weeks now going on 4 weeks for a major kitchen appliance repair. I have paid for 'non-covered repairs' of $372.46 (still unknown details). The Appliance Repair company assigned by my Home Warranty, Old Republic, refused to provide a detailed line item invoice, and says I need to contact the Warranty Company, Old Republic? This company has taken payment from me for several years, and will literally find any excuse to not repair, replace or reimburse any of my service requests. Out of four appliance repair requests, each one was dismissed with another excuse. The customer service representatives will pass you around on the phone for an hour before actually answering your questions. Bad , I dont recommend. They will do anything but help you with the bare minimum. We bought the plan that covered the most according to their brochure and they will do anything to not fix or replace or repair . They will send the cheapest shops out to your home on a free estimate but will charge you a $100 fee deductible just to be told that your plan dont cover . If I can give them a 0 I would .
