Dryer has been "fixed" 3 times for the same problem. The last repairman actually knew what he was doing. My problem is that they charged me to fix the same problem, even though we were out of town for the holidays and it wasn't used for 2 months.When I attempted to contact them to discuss it, they never responded. I won't renew with them.
We have had this warranty for almost 5 years now. We were first time home buyers in 2020, the home was built in 2003, and in great condition. I kept the warranty because the AC is original. I have purchased the most expensive plan every time. I have submitted claims for small things, microwave, leaking tub faucet and dishwasher. Old Republic Home Protection miserably failed to meet customer expectation. Mainly, a disconnect between Old Republic Home Protection (ORHP) and their "network service providers" failing to understand the difference between a High Priority Work Order or what it should be, and a Routine Work Order. Additionally, "out of network services provider" coordinator stating that customer fees paid to "out of network service provider" who can quickly attend to a High Priority Work Order will only be half-reimbursed is unconscionable. ... read more
Refrigerator was not fixed. Two companies and several visits. Several parts were replaced. Freezer never kept cool. Refrigerator would not be replaced or given any monetary credit for a new one.
Third time out and paid $110 service fee for each time. Two of the times similar problem and they would not cover service.
I called for furnace repair the on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The repair men came over Wednesday. They changed an electric panel & waited till they heard the furnace kick on. They did not give any paperwork (I did not know the provider, so couldnt call them back) & left. I soon realized no heat was being generated. I am formally expressing my dissatisfaction with the handling of my ** unit claim through Old Republic. Over a five-month period, two different contractors were sent out seven times, yet my ** unit remains unfixed. Despite having the unit professionally cleaned multiple times, I was repeatedly told it was too dirty for repairs, even though I provided photographic evidence proving otherwise. It was a total waste of the $125.00 service call, I live in a custom built home, my living room fan ceased working because of the motor. They sent the service person who basically validated what I already knew. The individual identified that the fan needed to be replaced, I was concerned because I didn't see him capturing the information about the current make and model.
