Right off the bat I didn't care for the recorded message. It said that they get back to somebody within 48 hours. If I've got something wrong with my cat, I don't have time to wait 48 hours. Then when I did get a hold of somebody they wouldn't give me a price on fixing my female cat. I had to pay $100 to bring my cat into get an estimate on ,no thank you. so I broke down took my cat in for the $100 exam to get a quote. I need to start listening to my gut because the place was packed. I'll go someplace that I don't have to wo... read more
I'm trying to figure out if overland veterinary is still in business? They "closed temporarily" months ago and there's no word about when they will reopen on their website? Our dog needs some services so I guess we need to find another vet, not sure how I can access our dogs medical records? We were happy with this vet but since dr Schwartz retired, the service has deteriorated.
My dog came in after being attacked by an unleashed dog. I really needed them to check his mouth out as my dog lost two teeth on impact. The vet tech barely made any effort to check his mouth, and after two minutes with my dog he sent us to the front desk for a dental surgery quote...I paid $95 for a $4.5k dental quote. I took my dog to another vet and paid $200 for 5 extractions that included a dental cleaning. They also noticed my dogs heartbeat was irregular and put him on medication for that. The medication cost? $20 m... read more
I started taking my cats to Overland in August 2021. In the beginning the doctors were great! I was so happy with the service provided by all of the vets. The receptionists were subpar and most of the time pretty rude but my partner and I decided that the staff being rude wasn't going to deter us from great doctors! Fast forward to today, I took my youngest cat in (8 months old) because he's been having a cough/wheezing/shaking his head. Once I got into the exam room they told me the doctor wouldn't be performing the exam in... read more
Gone are the days that vets actually care about animals, it seems. And Overland has joined the ranks. Pets are now a commodity to the highest bidder. This place provides absolutely no follow up, no diagnosis, and shockingly, rude receptionists. The doctor dispensed medication before getting lab work back. I basically spent $1000 to get a poorly done nail trim. Thanks, Overland!
Performed unnecessary exams without my permission. Ultra sound. Doctor did not know the difference between an empty stomach and a swallowed object in my cat. It was an empty stomach. Charged over $2000 when All I wanted was to remove loose bowel movement from my cat's hind fur.
I was a faithful client of Overland for the last 9 years with my cat. I will no longer be going back after the treatment yesterday. I had no idea the place had been sold, or become a machine to suck money out of people who want the best for their pets with scare tactics designed to charge for X-rays, CT Scans etc. I went in for cat vomiting and excessive meowing and could feel like there was a hustle on about 10 minutes in when the only solution after checking the cat's heartbeat was to offer a $340 x-ray, followed by ultra... read more
Always upselling and poor administrative staff. I would make an appointment with a specific doctor well in advance and when I arrived they would switch it to a new unknown doctor and blame it on me even though I had the confirmation that I had made the appointment correctly. Dubious indeed.
While in the waiting room, for hours, I noted that a high number of individuals are told that their dog has an EAR INFECTION. BEWARE! I point this out in the first sentence in case you do not read my story of my dog getting a PUNCTURED EARDRUM DURING THE VET EXAM. On my first visit to this vet (recommendation on Nextdoor), I went in for an annual vaccine and was told that my senior dog had an ear infection. Fine. On my second visit to the vet for a rabies shot (about four months later), I asked them to check her ears... read more
