The speed of process could've been improved and inquiries could've been addressed more efficiently. Jennifer Ovando did a great job but in between her assignment and the loan officer (Ryen Tang) things could've been communicated better.
Hermes was great to work with. He was pleasant and willing to explain any part of the process.
500 characters wasn’t enough so bulletpoints. The communication was completely unsatisfactory. The delay in response was horrible. And even then, the information we received was often inaccurate. Were told we would need a cashiers check or wire transfer and the closing company let us know a personal check would be fine. Our last number from Hermès was $600 more than the cost and we never received the final paperwork from him letting us know that. Asked for the same paperwork multiple times.
Everything went great with the process from beginning to end. Everything went as expected.
The documents were sent to me wrong. After they were corrected supposedly, they should have been sent to me for approval, as requested. They were not and the notary came out for closing. I could not sign the documents so they had to be redone and a notary had to come out a second time. Also when we called PennyMac to try to get ahold of our representative it took all day to get someone to return the call.
Very time consuming process. Frustrating when some emails were sent from other employees who were not my loan advisor, which resulted in confusion because my advisor told me one thing and the emails said another. Questions that I sent via email were responded to with a phone call rather than an email reply, which was difficult to juggle during the work day with a young child at home. I am glad this process is completed and that I had a kind, caring advisor.
Stayed in touch and answered questions. The attorney that came to the house was very friendly and professional.
Shalom was a pleasure to work with and communicated frequently and timely.
Jennifer was very nice and knowledgeable but the process took about 3 months. I was asked for the same documents numerous times and my follow up emails and phone calls to confirm the documents had been received would go unanswered for days so that made it a little stressful. We have been with PennyMac for 5 years and wanted to continue with PennyMac so we are very happy with the outcome.
