Loan Officer told me I would be able to close 1 May, we closed 29 May 2020. I asked him a question via secure message/reply, he never responded. I asked about a lenders credit since he told me there would be no additional closing cost then when it was almost time to close there was $2000+ cost. He immediately dismissed my request. At that point I knew he didn't have my best interest he was working for his paycheck. THEN, we had a $13. cash to close. My wife is the reason we didn't walk.
Our experience with PennyMac for our Refi went so smooth, from the time of first call requesting information to the signatures at the end. Everyone we spoke with was knowledgeable and friendly, all the processes were clear, and the online portals were easy to use. Even during these busy times and with COVID-19 issues, we were still able to close on time. I would use PennyMac again in the future and recommend them highly.

The process was easy and hassle free. the team was very personable and caring. the closing was delayed by a few days because my name was misspelled but it still worked out fine. i was a little disappointed with the rate I got because rates dropped more than 25bps while aí was waiting to close and I asked if we could reajuste the rate but there was no response. overall a great process.

From the start of my refinancing journey, Clyde Anderson made it an easy process. Then Linda Frazier took over after the application and processed the loan in a matter of weeks, way faster then 3 other competing companies I had been working with prior to Penny Mac. The only hiccup along the way was at closing. I was supposed to close at noon on 26 May 2020 but the process did t come to happen til late that night due to some communication problems between Penny Mac and the title company.
