If I could leave zero stars I would. We had an assumable mortgage with Pennymac, which we wanted to transfer to our home buyers. I understand this probably isn’t ideal for Pennymac considering we had such a low rate compared to what’s currently available, and boy did they drag their feet. They made this entire process a complete nightmare. At every step of the process, they were completely unresponsive. MortgageConnect is a joke. They have missed getting documents to me and the first delayed closing. I also asked for a closing location closer to our home. Didn’t happen. We all could have traveled less than 10 miles, but no, over an hour.
