Ceista was really great, but she was the last of a seeming long-line of loan processors. I applied for this loan (as an existing Penny Mac customer and at Penny Mac's own urging) in July and it closed in December. Unacceptable. I've re-fi'd in the past on at least a dozen occasions and this was clearly the most tortuous. The only reason I didn't go somewhere else was because of abject stubbornness. Ceista did a great job once she took over, but my negative view was cemented by then.

My experience with PennyMac was great. My loan officer did very well communicating the refinance process with me and I am thankful for his help and I would definitely recommend using PennyMac.
