I actually applied for a refinance twice with Pennymac. The first time was a couple of years ago when the rates first sounded low. The Pennymac agent, Sarkis, reviewed my application and actually talked me OUT of doing the refinance . . . for a variety of reasons that I had either not considered or was unaware of, such as escrow requirements, property taxes and insurance. Thus, when the situation changed with the new lower rates and post-Covid financial situation, I went right back to Pennymac.
My experience was seamless and all of my questions and concerns were answered in a timely manner. I would highly recommend working with Rebekah and the PennyMac team.
First the loan officer kept his word that's very important. Communication throughout the process helped also because I would receive the email regarding documents needed and had every intention of processing them. Would get busy and forget until I received a call informing me that I had to complete the process

We had to complete 3 different signing due to improperly drafted documents and poor communication between Pennymac and the company drawing up the paperwork. Our original loan advisor was, at no fault of her own, poorly trained and confused about the process.
Service and weekly communication/updates of progress of loan process was awesome. Have never had this type of experience before in the very same processes I had with other vendors. GOOD JOB M.A.C Team!
Communication was very good and the agent was very professional, prompt and courteous.
