The long wait times at the start the process were a bit frustrating, I understand there has been a lot of demand for loans lately which slowed down the process. Long wait times aside the rest of the process was very well handled.
The emails always came either really late or in the middle of the night. On a few occasions, I had to ask the same question twice because it wasn't answered the first time.
When I first called to lower my rate I was told I had to wait. I waited almost 2 months then when the process started again I was told my interest rate would be 3.0 and the forms that was send say 3.75 when I questioned it the loan agent attempt to go back and forth with me like I was lying because he had written something else. I do not feel very comfortable with PennyMac, I think my rate could have been lowered lower then the 3.0 I ll wait and see if something better comes along.
It was a great experience to refinance with PennyMac, loan officers were very knowledgeable and the process was lean and easy.
