Andrew did a great job. The periodic check ins where great kept me well informed.
The loan officer Gary Sahakian was very efficient, very professional, answered every concerns we had during the initial process. Then we received several messages from different people during the underwriting process, but the only issue we had was when we didn’t have the final CD until closing time. Not sure why it was not disclosed to us at a timely manner but overall, we would still recommend Penny Mac.
I shopped around for a refinance with multiple lenders and landed on PennyMac as they provided the most attractive offer. The refinance process was extremely painless, especially when thinking back to going through my initial loan process to purchase my home. I never once felt out of the loop or uninformed. I would even receive phone calls from my loan officer to explain the status each step of the way. I’m incredibly impressed by it all and couldn’t be happier with my experience.

Pennymac gave me a 5 star experience from beginning to end on my VA home refinance. I started but never finished an application online, which actually made the on phone application harder, but that became no problem at all in a few minutes with the loan officer. I never had a closing go so smoothly and rapidly. The whole process took less than 2 weeks. That's a heartbeat in most mortgage refinance processes. Kudos to the Pennymac team. I saved $187.00 a month refinancing. I highly recommend.

I felt that I had to constantly pull information instead of it being pushed to me or questions/documents being asked of from me. I received the appraisal report almost 3 weeks after it was conducted. After communicating my closing date MULTIPLE times, I arrived at the attorney to find out the closing package was not sent to them. When trying to contact ANYONE I was pushed to voicemail over & over, or an unserviced line. EXTREMELY stressful & unprofessional. WILL NOT RECOMMEND.
