I highly recommend PennyMac. My refinance was painless and very quick. The service was great. And the best part? PennyMac won't sell the mortgage to a random bank. They service all their loans, which is a good thing, considering how easy to use their website is, and their excellent customer service.

Ball dropping, last minute documents required that we never was told about, two trips to the bank because we wasn’t told the correct name for the check, also was told by Eric and Monique first payment due 11/1 got closing documents wasn’t the same stated 10/1 and Monique was to talk to her supervisor and pull the phone calls and she never called back or had it fixed. She is a horrible communicator and do last minute things. We aren’t very pleased at all. This has been a horrible ordeal overall.

Mona was great. She was very prompt in responding and explained everything clearly. She definitely gets 5 stars. Very helpful! However, the overall process was not perfect. First, it took me a while to find a Penny Mac loan officer. Then it took few calls/emails schedule the actual application. Finally, the good faith estimate did not match what I actually paid at closing. The closing process was relatively smooth and I understand the refinancing rush now, but overall experience was just ok.
Exceptional customer service! I would recommend PennyMac in a heartbeat- thanks again to all the staff at PennyMac!!!
