Better communication regarding issues. There seemed to be a little confusion and I felt like I was always calling to find out answers as to why there was such a delay which ended up having the closing over a month late. I think in the future it should be explained that the closing will be longer than normal due to so many people refinancing and people working from home due to Covid. Hopefully this though will be over soon and everyone can get back to the offices. Thank you, Mariely Delgado.

Mariely Delgado was very easy to work with and did a great job walking me through the whole process. Well done! However, the closing process was terrible. It took four (4) separate appointments to get a notary, with the correct paperwork, to my location. I don't know if the problem(s) was due to the paperwork, or if the notary was the culprit. Either way, it was a large inconvenience to get ready for the appointment, then learn it would not happen.

I didn't appreciate that at the start of the process I had asked if the rate goes down will I get the new rate. I was informed i would, later to fond out the rate did go down and I had to call another company and fill out a loan proposal with the lower rate in order for Penney Mac to honor the lower rate. That is unethical. Penney Mac knows the rate went down they should honor that. Made me look into going elsewhere. Penney Mac customer service needs to improve.

The complete re-financing process was very smooth. From the quick responses from everyone, as well as the ease in transferring and signing documents digitally and notary coming to our home. We never had to leave our house for this whole transaction. We have always had a good experience with PennyMac and that is why we chose to stay with them with this re-financing. I would highly reccomend PennyMac to anyone.
