My overall experience was very good. All the questions I had were answered. I was able to get hold of my loan specialist when I needed clarification on the information I received.

When it was time to close, the funds that I was supposed to bring were inaccurately quoted. I had to reach out to my first point of contact so he could help Max with the accurate closing cost amount. This happened two times before he got it correct. I just feel that the closing costs amount should have been accurately assessed and delivered to me the first time. To me this is a very important step knowing what funds to bring to closing and to not have the amount tripled before closing.

The communication between Cheree Payton and the other members of the process were poor. On a number of occasions I advised Cheree as to what was happening and it was discouraging that she had not been informed of the events by other team members. Cheree did an outstanding job of keeping me posted of events and changes when she knew of them. If not for Cheree, I would have stopped the process and gone with Loan Depot. This should not have happened to an existing client.

The refinancing process was smooth and Macy kept in touch with me whether there were updates or not so that I am comfortable and know what’s going with the loan approval.

My communication with Rachel Harris was excellent. However, I had a question about my old loan payoff amount that Rachel could not answer. She said that she would get back to me. She did not, but someone else from PennyMac did, but they also couldn't answer my question. This person said that they would contact my original loan officer who get back to me. This never happened and I went into our closing without a response. Not Good. Also, my email to the loan officer was never returned.
