The loan funded considerably later than expected and our lock expired, although PennyMac did cover the cost of the new lock. Documentation was requested multiple times and the notary had to come to the house twice to get us to sign paperwork. Even then, a document was missed and we had to sign and send it via email. This gave us the impression that things weren't organized. The people we worked with were great, so the lower rating came from the perceived lack of process and delays.

Communication, organization and accuracy. Also lack of professionilsm from loan processing agents. Loan Officer was good but everyone else was a nightmare process. My refinance took 4 months and gave me sleepless nights and anxiety. I will not be referring PennyMac
