My refinance experience was fast and easy. Thank you!
Penny Mac representatives were friendly and tried to help, but were reactive instead of proactive and not very effective. Primary problems were with Service Link who delayed closing about 2 1/2 weeks because they did not provide needed information on a payoff request and did not follow-up on the request delay. Service Link was 2 days later than promised on closing payments and paid off the 2nd mortgage by check instead of wire as promised causing substantial added interest.
Saviz Hatam & Michael Felton explained everything to me. They answer all my questions. They were very understanding, patient. They stayed in contact with me, made suggestions, help me think through the process. Not sure if I would have made it without them. Michael Felton really stayed with me the last leg of the way. Closing was very smooth. My MAC team deserve a star rating without a doubt.

I was pleasantly surprised at the proactive communication with me throughout the entire process. I received a phone call each time my point person changed and emails updates. I always felt informed, and everyone was professional. I did a lot of research before calling as I don't like doing financial transactions without face-to-face interactions. But the PennyMac staff were honest, patient, and listened to me, making me feel comfortable and that they were trustworthy.
