I want to first give proper acknowledgment to Stanley (Joe) Rodriguez. He was the one consistent person that worked with me on this refinancing and did not let me give up even though i was ready to quit and give up. Towards the end, when things were getting tight with surprises around every corner, Joe brought Kelly Lange in to help assist. Kelly really helped reduced my anxiety and was able to answer questions and was there for me when i called. Both of them worked really hard. Thank you!!
We did not have any issues with Carmelita directly. She was very nice. However, we feel as if our home was appraised for less than it's worth (based on 5 other assessments we received) and the closing process was horrible and delayed (beyond Carmelita's control). We scheduled are closing a week in advance, took off work, and had a witness drive almost an hour to be present, only for our closing to be canceled without our knowledge.
Repeated requests for the same documents. Initial interview deceitful. Repeated delays. COVID excuses. Worst loan process I've experienced and I buy real estate professionally.
It took a month longer then was told it would take.
Excellent experience and smooth process
As a returning customer to PennyMac, I was once again pleased with the personal service and interest the loan originator and processor took in completing my loan package. I also appreciate the support staff that customers don't interact with, but work behind the scenes to provide funding for the home purchase. If you want a "big company" capability with boutique service, PennyMac can deliver.
Gina: she was great!! to work with, always pleasant, willing to answer questions and get details. The issue seem to be around the underwriters and how the information they kept requesting. especially around how school teachers are paid. to many times we were requested to supply the same documents, plus a letter to explain the paying process for a school teacher. which is the normal for at least 90% of the teachers in AZ. they made us feel like they did not know what they were doing.
Both Joseph DeMasi and Eliud Rodriguez were very responsive, knowledgeable, and customer service focused. Both professional individuals represent PennyMac Loan Services, LLC as an extremely reputable financial institution.
The loan team that I worked with was great, and the process was very easy.
