Great personal service with minimal wait time on calls or email responses
The communication was awful. Went weeks with unanswered calls and emails from lender. Then when she finally answered the papers she needed were not presented in a well manner. The attorney, realtors and ourselves were not communicated with and our calls and emails were ignored more times than answered. We were supposed to close on the 7th and didn’t close until the 10th. The beginning process of getting approved was great. John was awesome.

PennyMac made it a breeze to close originally on my house and then just recently again on my refinance of it. Both Nicholas Hagan and Tristan Summers were excellent in every way, they both communicated everything step by step and made the process as easy as possible. In addition, PennyMac over the years have answered any questions I've ever had and even assisted with my Homestead Exemption here in GA. I'd highly recommend PennyMac to anyone looking for a great mortgage company.
The overall process was easier then I expected it to be.
If I did not have to wait to reschedule closing and having to go into my savings to pay mortgage which was suppose to be waived. Frustrated with the entire process, felt like I was not in Penny Mac’s radar. I had to call and find out statuses to which I should not have to do, not my job.
Quick & simple process to refinance.
I appreciate what the entire team did. I will say doing the closing in-person without anyone explaining the documents beforehand or while we were signing was a bit confusing & time consuming for the notary & ourselves. I tried to contact my M.A.C. Team the few days before closing with no answers. Others from Penny Mac's main line answered me. I know things are busy. Just a suggestion: have someone on the phone with the notary & clients in case there are questions. Overall pleased - thanks!
