Excellent service provided and experience throughout the refi process!
Covid-19 and the high demand for refinancing (with such low interest rates) caused communication to suffer a bit. At times I was not sure of the status of my loan and where we were in the process.

The person that came to our house couldn’t explain any documents. He just said sign here and here. When asked, he really couldn’t explain what we were signing. Probably not his fault because he wasn’t faxed the documents until minutes before closing. He was actually late, but did call us to let us know.
As I completed the request for one set of documents another was added.Instead of being informed of the progress of the application period I had to contact P'Mac.I did NOT request impound accounts. At my request tax impound account was removed however, ins. impound account was not. At application I asked that all costs be put into the loan. But loan docs showed about $6000 to close. I had loan approval on June 4 but another request came in so it was delayed until July 2.
It would be nice if all the departments would communicate with each other about what is happening with people. When someone is refinancing the loan department should know about it.
This was our second loan experience with penny mac and we wouldn't look elsewhere!

Received a number of emails telling me to ask questions by email. But I sent several emails and never got a response. I would have to call to try to get someone Also I would receive calls from my closing advisor. But I couldn’t call her back directly. I had to call a central number and that person wasn’t always sure why my advisor had called. It was difficult to maintain a dialogue with people who knew what was going on with my loan.
