I've had my mortgage with PennyMac for several years and my recent VA refi when very smoothly and significantly reduced my payment. The loan officers at PennyMac went out of their way to help meet my needs, to include adjusting my escrow for disabled veteran property tax exemptions. I am very satisfied and would recommend PennyMac to any Veteran home loan borrower.

Be more prompt. Call and explain things to people. Keep people up on what’s going on. This was an OK experience not a good one. They lagged and didn’t inform me during the lag time of what was going on keeping me in limbo. I did not appreciate this. They also swore that they couldn’t lower my interest-rate anymore because it was a VA loan but the interest rate had dropped 0% and I would’ve like that looked into. For interactions!

Had too many people from PennyMac involved. Believe I got emails from at least 4 different people. Also took a long time to underwrite then was asked to close immediately or my lock might expire.
