Since my original mortgage was with pennymac It was very easy to close. I was offered a slightly better rate by other companies, however, I didn't want to start submitting documents to them. You had all the information on hand and expedited the loan. Every one I dealt with was very friendly and professional.

Convenient and all employees I dealt with were courteous and responsive. Also, the document and signing process was smooth. Ty our notary was great too. The process was slower than expected but I believe that was because of the volume of loan activity right now. Overall we’re happy with the outcome.

Anna was amazing throughout the whole process, she answered all my questions thoroughly, timely, and in a way that I could understand. I don’t recall a single phone conversation with Belinda. The last communication I had from her was that she would reach out to me May 29th. It is June 5, my loan closed, I’ve signed the documents and still haven’t heard from her. The lack of communication is unfathomable. When you tell a customer “you will hear from me on May 29th”, especially when that was a Friday and closing was Monday, you expect to hear from someone. This is the 3rd house I have had with PennyMac and the last.

In general people had the impression of being undertrained and over worked. I know this has been a busy time but I seldom felt patience or kindness. Usually terse and on once mild belligerenc. I think people were in general coping in a difficult work environment. It was difficult to get clear and accurate explanations of specific items on the Loan Estimates. One (female) manager who I spoke to was excellent and able to explain details with knowledge and patience (despite herworking long hours).
