Process was easy. Our only disappointment was we had to redo our closing documents several times because the amount we had to bring to close was all over the place and not what was agreed upon. In the end it was figured out and we reduced by a full point with major savings.
Aggressive loan officer matched a deal I got from another bank. That was great, but in the end it would have been better to just go with the other bank. He made it sound like it would be easier to stick with pennymac but the inconsistent communication and continuous errors in the paper work lead me to be working on the refi loan as if I was an employee for pennymac. I had to stay on them to check their work because it was clear they were either too busy to care or just overwhelmed with work.
If your team would have processed my loan correctly and I didn’t have to make several calls to correct a mistake with my escrow account and if someone would have returned a call about my escrow account when I was told that someone would call me back. I still have an issue even after my loan has been funded. Everything else was very good and very fast
Our refinance with PennyMac went as expected. Quintrell and Richard made the process easy, they were knowledgable and helpful. My husband and I work in the medical field, which is a little hectic right now. There was a bit of phone tag. Richard accepted voicemails and emails in order to set the time for document signing.

It was a nice experience, first time buying a house so I didn't really now what to expect, but everyone from the realtor to the loan officers were very helpful. Thank you everyone for your help.
PennyMac is the mortgage company to go with. We have processed with them 3 times. Beyond excellent customer service. Fast and accurate.
The process for the loan and communication were going well until the day of closing . The documents that were brought by the notary to sign at the closing, were not the same closing disclosures that I had seen and had adequate time to review. The monthly payment was increased by $150 which was not expected, especially hearing about it for the first time from the notary right there ready to sign.
