Initial loan processor was horrible. The second loan processor was a vast improvement.
Appraisal process was a horrible experience. I had to make more than 10 phone calls and discuss with my loan processing officer to get a new appraisal order issued by PennyMac. There was no response from the appraiser/ appraisal company two weeks after it was ordered. Closing was at risk. Very stressful time.

The loan took more than a month to close. I was asked if I wanted to roll an interest payment into the loan and I answered yes that I would. But when the final docs hit I had to write a check for the difference. Plus a few other smaller issues. Overall I was happy with PennyMac.
My refinance experience was excellent! Every interaction with all representatives throughout the process exceeded my expectations. Communication was consistent and clearly explained. Closing and receipt of funds was very quick and painless. I would highly recommend PennyMac for your mortgage or refinancing needs.
The people who were assigned to my loan process made it great.
