It all started with a call to PennyMac regarding my form 1098. The customer service rep assisted me with that and then asked if I would consider a refi of my mortgage. I agreed and was turned over to Brian Dutt to handle the application process. Once completed, Nick Batten handled the escrow process. EVERYONE was prompt in handling the tasks and very communicative throughout the process.

My process was a fiasco since I began it in January. If someone would like to hear the whole story, then call me and I'll lay out all the gory details. I had one failed closing and nearly a second. The closing documents were wrong both times. No one from PennyMac knew that the first closing had failed. No one from PennyMac called me for over a week. No one from management ever stepped in or called. It was a train wreck and dumpster fire. In the end, I received a credit but only after I demanded.

The loan officers were very professional while being supportive and accommodating to our individual questions and concerns. Their level of technical knowledge and devotion created a very smooth re-financing process which seemed to expedite the loan application process as well. Our questions were answered in a very timely manner. Overall, every representative of Penny Mac displayed professionalism, and dedication to always provide quick responses to all of our questions.

From the beginning with Jesse Corral who answered my questions and explained the refinance procedures to Sara Olsen who kept me informed of how loan was proceeding, requested documents and checked in with me weekly by phone--loan process went quickly. Thank you.
