I spent a lot of time chasing the losing mortgage company (US Bank) for the payoff letter and sent it to the PennyMac team, when they should have been responsible for obtaining the letter from US Bank after we gave them written authorization to do so. I believe the cost of PennyMac and the title company performing this work is billed to the customer in the closing cost. Not happy with that part of the process and I have never been asked to chase down the payoff letter for any closing before.
Easy process, we'll explained and quick.
I was completely blown away by the quality of the job and the communication between myself and the pennymac representative in how wonderful and thorough they were with explaining each step and any questions I had along the process
