Nancy Shead was great! I have nothing but good things to say about her. PennyMac as a company is GARBAGE! I wish I could go back in time and live in a world where PennyMac never existed. The entire process of the home loan was awful with the exception of the people. PennyMac people are great. The one good thing I can say about PennyMac is the quality of their employees. As a mortgage company, it can't get any worse...
Very understanding in times of stress
We used Pennymac since 2016, they were outstanding every year, even throughout the pandemic when I needed flexibility they were there for me. In 2022 I refinanced from an fha to a conventional loan with the same lender and the process was super smooth, and much faster than anticipated, everyone contacted me through every step of the loan, and answered any worries I might have. I will be a pennymac customer for life.
This is not the first time we have used Pennymac and as always the service and rates were fantastic.
I don't fault Mr. Brown for any of the scores than were less than 10/10. He was often the victim of poor communication with staff managing my documentation. Often, he did not have information that had been forwarded by the website. The latter is a large part of the issues that arose during the process. The homeowner should have access to a screen that shows what has actually been accepted. This would show transparency with what I forwarded and what PennyMac sees. The people that helped me were kind and courteous. I felt like there were way too many hands in the cookie jar. I spoke to so many different people that did not know what was going on and had to reiterate the situation. My closing documents were wrong at least three times and it took 3 or so weeks to make the corrections. The title company also did not comply with my communications and had to fix mistakes. We closed on the very last day of our rate lock and it was very unsettling as to whether it would all be accurate. This ... read more
Proper communication or conveying the loan details to their team members would have been great. There was 0 communication on what is happening with loan process
