Start to finish was 3 months. Way too many people involved in the process. Multiple calls to set up closing when all the documentation wasn't even ready. Finally set up closing and while waiting 20 minutes on the third party to arrive, received a call from PennyMac that closing was canceled. I think less people should be involved. I think before someone from PennyMac calls the customer, they should review all of the documents to make sure they know what they're talking about. While Belinda was very kind and pleasant to speak with, I often felt like she wasn’t sure what was going on. She often misspoke, correcting herself multiple times in a conversation, could not give me straight answers, and a few times she told me she would contact me before the end of her shift and never did. I was asked for the same documents multiple times. Better Communication, updates on progress or lack there of. Nancy Shead a very lackadaisical attitude.
The representative Cindy Crouse and the MacTeam provided excellent customer service. Cindy made us feel at ease through the entire process by always keeping us informed with a weekly call. I could always see her smile with such a positive and upbeat attitude. Cindy and the team were always so responsive to all of our questions and concerns, which help to make the process less stressful. Hats off to Penny Mac!
The loan officer Joel Lamm was great from the start and clearly explained the process how the process would go and he was spot on. Reymond did the weekly check in calls and pleasant to speak with.

In the first few weeks of the loan I was cluless and the process was moving very slowly, it picked up at the end. My contingencies promised were not met.
Communication was great!
what would of made it better if that penny mac my original morgage company and now refinanced threw didnt take 7,000.00 of the top in closeing fees,not a good way to zap your exciting customers
